Spoor & Fisher speaks on Africa panel at MIP’s global trade mark roadshow

A team from Spoor & Fisher comprising Kay Rickelman, Paul Ramara, Matthew Costard and Duncan Maguire recently spoke on ‘Trade Mark Protection Across Africa’s Diverse Regions’ at Managing Intellectual Property’s global trade mark roadshow in Palo Alto and New York. Their talk focussed on Africa’s trade mark systems, in particular the Madrid Protocol. Enforcement strategies were discussed and the team gave an insight into search and seizure operations of counterfeit goods in Africa.
